Grant_webConscensia has decided to give four grants to students in Ukraine to support the future professionals of the IT industry. The faculty of Computer Science Program in Lviv Catholic University (CS@UCU) opened in 2015 and the faculty has about 40 students today. Naturally, students attend their classes, but they have also established many special clubs – for example Code club and Frontend club. Every week they have special meetings with IT specialists from different companies, who come and share their knowledge with the students. As this faculty is very enthusiastic and motivated, we decided to give our grants to them.

In order to get one of the grants (USD 250 each), the students had to take a test and at the second round, they were picked according to results of the 1st semester. The grant will help the students pay for the 2nd semester of their education.

On February 3rd 2016, Conscensia gave the grants to the four students with the best results.
General Manager in Conscensia in Ukraine, Nataliya Kyrnychna, says:  “This grant for students of CS @ UCU is the first Conscensia grant. In the future, we plan to develop the program and add more events. The idea of establishing a Conscensia’s grant came as an opportunity to contribute to the development of IT industry in the long run. The IT industry in Ukraine, and especially in Lviv, is developing very fast and as representatives of the industry, we know that the most important aspect is well educated employees. Participating in the creation of the best experts – and we are sure that graduates of CS @ UCU will become such – is a great honor for us. It is our hope that this is the beginning of a fruitful cooperation.”

At the meeting, the students also had the opportunity to hear about today’s IT companies and how to choose the job of your dreams, presented by Yaroslav Rozhankivskyy, Delivery Manager at Conscensia.
